Then, i rode several trains until i ended up at the MOTHER OF ALL TRAIN STATIONS (below).
It was HUUUUGE. A truly awesome, modern building, with a schweet glass elevator, that must've been exactly what Mr. Dahl had in mind to send Charlie and Wonka into space.
Behind the Hauptbanhof, there is a statue of a horse (Pferd). It kind of looks like it's falling through the air, like the horse in that movie where the blind girl and her horse liked to jump off the high-dive or something. i don't remember what the hell that movie was called, and i kind of cheated, because it's not a book, but it definitely WAS for kids.
All these lawnchairs were set out for people to sit and drink cocktails while watching the tour boats drift by. Apparently, i'm not the only one who thinks ogling oglers is a silly way to spend a Wednesday morning.
In the middle of a street somewhere, there was a gated-off, sunken strip of land that was overgrown and full of old-looking carvings and things. It WOULD HAVE reminded me of THE SECRET GARDEN if i'd ever read that book, which i didn't, because i'm not an eight year-old girl (okay okay, i cheered when the li'l invalid walked at the end).

Perhaps "Ogling Oglers" could be the name of YOUR children's book....
I think the movie you re talking about is called Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. The girl was named Sonora. The horse Lightning.
